The project ”Innovative models for optimizing the pedagogical and methodical counseling, given to the beginner teachers in the pre-university level from Bucharest, to increase the quality of education provided to the students”, was designed to meet the needs of training and sharing best practices for 45 school inspectors of the ISMB focused on sharing knowledge and implementing of teaching methods and strategies for beginner teachers, where Italian partner has expertise in the areas of interest, and its aim is to facilitate beginners` integration in pre-university schools in Bucharest.
The project goal is to increase the quality and professionalism of school inspectors from Bucharest to achieve a proficient pedagogical and methodological counseling program for beginner teachers, compatible with programs achieved within the European countries, so as to reach a quality initial training for beginner teachers in the educational system in Bucharest.
The specific objectives aimed at: improving communication skills of school inspectors to achieve effective mediation between mentors, school principals and beginner teachers; improving school inspectors` skills in mentoring surveys; increasing the quality of counseling for beginner teachers by providing them professional documents; increasing inspectors` proficiency in indentifying and developing training programs perfectly shaped according to beginner teachers` needs; the skills and knowledge acquired during mobility will be valued and disseminated by a Reference Book written by school inspectors as a guiding support for beginner teachers to facilitate their integration in the pre-university educational system; developing participants` language skills in mobility.
According to the project, 45 school inspectors will participate in 12 days mobilities in Italy where they will fulfill the following activities: job shadowing, workshops, roundtables, presentations, conferences, seminars. The expected results after the implementation of this project are: 1. 45 school inspectors with improved relevant educational and professional competencies in supporting beginner teachers` integration in schools, and also possessing communication skills in Italian; 2. Trans-national partnership ISMB- CASSIOPEEA; 3. operational procedures for conducting methodical and pedagogical training program for beginner teachers, guidelines for coordination of counseling and teaching methodology for beginner teachers; 4. A web-site where the results of the project will be disseminated; 5. 2 regional seminars so that the project can be disseminated; 6. promoting documents – 2 press articles in the national written media; 7. The project will have an impact on the target group, institutional, local, regional, national and international. The applicant will develop its institutional capacity by possessing a staff that will be professionally trained in advising and supporting beginner teachers and by providing supporting documents for them; Italian partner will benefit from an exchange of expertise in the field of school inspection and human resource development; There will be a cultural exchange between the two countries, professional relationships between professionals in education in Romania and Italia will be developed all these will create the prerequisites for the development of new educational projects. Transferability of the kills acquired during mobility will be ensured both locally for other school inspectors of the ISMB and at national level for specialized school inspectors from the country.
