PROJECT
FINISHED
The aim of the project is to enable the students to gain the essential professional experience in the field of logistics, to get acquainted with practical methods of planning and transportation of goods, to manage transport procedures in various spheres of logistic services as well as improving their professional German and English language abilities which are a cornerstone to the European work market.
The project applicant is ZSB in Braniewo (Voivodeship of Warmia and Mazury) and the host institution is Vitalis our partners in Germany. Their responsibility will be to organize training in Leipzg, Germany. The project will be realized within a period of 12 months, starting from 01.09.2014 to 31.08.2015. The participants are 17-19 year class II and III logistic students. 20 students will take part in this project. They are planned to go to Leipzg for 4 weeks with supervising teachers,
where training will be organized in companies offering logistic services. They are expected to widen both their theoretical and practical abilities in various branches of logistics.
A study of the work market in the TSL field shows that there is a high demand for skilled work force in this field, especially in the border countries of the EU. Our school does not possess appropriate facilities for practical logistic training, therefore, students can only have training in specialized companies, preferably international companies.
Expected results:
-a chance to do well in professional exams and to widen students' field of knowledge as future logistic employees.
- 20 new beneficiaries on the local market available to work or open up companies which can offer high level of logistic service in Poland and even beyond.
-an increase in ZSB students ready and capable of continuing high university education.
- the school will become more attractive for Grammar school students from Braniewo and the rest of the voivodeship.
After training, the students will receive certificates to confirm their skills and Europass Mobility.
Both participant sides of the project will play a big role in widespreading the results of the project. Vitalis, our partners will post information of the project activities on their website. We will organize a conference for the students, the school teachers, the local administration and the office of employment about the results of the project. The school will post detailed information on its website and notice board about the project. The students will also give an account of the
project activities which will be published in The Elblag Dairy Newspaper and Braniewo TV. The publicity campaign is planned to last from April to August 2015.
