Pupil mobility
I: Pupil mobility objectives; By implementing a two-week mobility programme (20.11.2016.-03.12.2016.) within this 12-month project (01.09.2016.-31.08.2017.), we want to achieve the following objectives:
A1. Participants of the mobility programme, in this case 8 eleventh grade pupils preparing to become CNC operators, are going to:
- improve their vocational competences in the field of vocational training; which will consist of programming and working on CNC machine tools according to technical and technological documentation and will be carried out at Schaeffler Technologies AG & Co. KG Herzogenaurach
- acquire multilingual competences (English, German), particularly in the vocational field and the understanding of technical and technological documentation as defined by the curriculum for triennial vocational training for CNC operators
- develop a work culture in a real work environment
- develop teamwork skills.
A2. Participants of the mobility programme, in this case 4 tenth and eleventh grade pupils preparing to become Assistant Cooks and Pastry Cooks (pupils with disabilities), are going to:
- improve their vocational competences, acquire knowledge and skills for working in a modern kitchen in the school practicum of Staatliches Beruflices Schulzentrum Herzogenaurach - Höchstadt a. d. Aisch and company Lebenshilfe Erlangen-Hochstadt, Herzogenaurach as defined by the curriculum for vocational training
- develop a work culture in a real work environment
- develop teamwork skills.
II. After the completion of the mobility programme
A1. Participants of the mobility programme, in this case pupils preparing to become CNC operators, broadened their existing and acquired new vocational competences in the field of vocational training after participating in the mobility programme which led to:
- safer and more independent use of CNC turning machines and CNC milling machines and other tools and machines
- independent use of technical and technological documentation and better use of English and/or German necessary for completing the exercise
- safer and more independent tool measuring and data entry in the memory unit of the machine
- safer and more independent CNC programming for CNC turning and CNC milling and the ability to create a simulation according to the requirements of the technical and technological documentation on the CNC Simulator
- safer and more independent entry of the created CNC programme into the control unit of the CNC tool machine, the ability to simulate a CNC programme and make part according to the programme on CNC turning machines and CNC milling machines.
Participants of the mobility programme can communicate easier knowing the basics of a foreign language (English/German), particularly important in their vocation, they are more open for teamwork and accepting the opinions of others.
A2. Participants of the mobility programme, in this case pupils preparing to become Assistant Cooks and Pastry Cooks (pupils with disabilities), broadened existing and acquired new vocational competences in the field of vocational training which enabled them for:
- safer use of appliances, tools and equipment found in modern kitchens
- safer and more reliable preparation of food of plant or animal origin adequate for the position of Assistant Cook
- safer and more reliable participation in finishing simple cold and hot meals adequate for the position of Assistant Cook.
Participants of the mobility programme communicate easier, they are more open for teamwork and accepting the opinion of others.
A3. Staff mobility
Participants of the staff mobility programme are the school principal, the adult education manager, the vocational teacher and the practical skills teacher.
Participants of the staff mobility programme will attend the Metal Congress held on the theme „Next standards in education for vocational school“ with a focus on metal education| mechanical engineering |sheet metal worker | water cutting | welding | milling | 3D printing |CNC |CAD/CAM | QM |steering techno".
Acquired knowledge and skills include new didactic methods in class based on learning outcomes and the acquisition of new competences, and they will be used among the faculty and be transferred to colleagues and on a regional and national level.
Existing cooperation with the educational network "EcoMedia-Europe" will be intensified, while new contacts will be established in order to prepare new projects for the pupils and teachers of our school.
A course for teachers in the field of CNC technology in partnership with the company Siemens will be prepared.
