PROJECT
FINISHED
The purpose of the program is to activate and enable young people gaining new skills. The reason why young people often stay unemployed after finishing vocational school is lack of practical training and that’s why experience gained during the internship and learned knowledge can improve participant’s qualifications, which can result in increasing their attractiveness on a labor market. When it comes to implementing projects for technical and vocational school students, the applying company has been cooperating with vocational schools for several years. The company has an experience with projects, which helps gaining practical and professional skills, and also with international projects and those concerning mobility. That’s why the company prepared project for three counties where the cooperation with vocational schools is developed. The purpose of the project is to gain practical training in Italian and German companies working in the catering industry, hospitality industry, hairdressing industry and construction industry by 100 students and graduates from technical schools, in the age of 16-20, from zachodniopomorskie, wielkopolskie and kujawsko – pomorskie voivodeship.International internship will be preceded by 40-hour language and cultural training in Poland, during which participants will get familiar with German and Italian culture and customs and improve knowledge of foreign language as well with specific vocabulary related to the industry. Together with the commencement of the internship abroad, there is also 12-hour language and cultural workshop. As a result, it will all help to get acclimatized in new environment. There will be organized four rounds of internship. There will be 10 participants plus 1 accompanying person in the I round (winter holidays 2017), 40 participants plus 4 accompanying persons in II round (summer holidays 2017), 10 participants plus 1 accompanying person in III round (winter holidays 2018) and 40 participants plus 4 accompanying persons in IV round (summer holidays 2018). Applying company’s experience shows that young people learning in vocational schools (especially those from small towns) differ from each other in terms of knowledge of foreign language, self- reliance and they have different traveling abroad experience. In order to create equal mobility opportunities, participants will be divided into groups and they will be sent to selected international Partners. In every round there will be created groups of 10 people who will be sent to Italy or Germany. I and II round is designated for people who will have weaker language skills, less of self-reliance and less experience when it comes to traveling. They will go for 14 days of internship to Germany. III and IV round is designated for people who are self – reliant, can communicate in English or German and are ready to go for 32 days of internship do Italy or Germany. Another advantage of the program is the ability to train staff in the professions, which are specific to certain needs of county’s or voivodeship’s labor market. Gained professional experience will be confirmed by the Europass Mobility document and will create a bit opportunity to find employment in Poland or European Union Countries. Project will also allow to prepare young people for working in European standards and to create basics of modern education system by offering an attractive form of training. Established cooperation and gained experience by both parties of the project will also allow to accomplish goal mentioned above. Main activities in the project will be: recruiting participants, language and cultural trainings/ workshops, organizing internship for 100 participants and evaluation of the project. In the conditions of difficult local labor market and appearing new opportunities for employment in European Union countries, this cooperation can contribute to improving professional mobility amongst beneficiaries
