Mobilize Youth for Gender Equality! is a 12 months group EVS project for 2 volunteers, set up by the Portuguese Platform for Women’s Rights as host (and also coordinating) organization, an umbrella association of women’s rights and gender equality NGO’s in Portugal. And two sending organisations: CISS from Italy and EuroCircle from Germany. The project aims the mobilization of young people in Lisbon for activism and active participation for the promotion of women's human rights and gender equality through creative and art based methodologies of non formal education and awareness raising both online and offline. The volunteers create and dinamize and activist group that plans and performs activities through creative methodologies targeted at youth. The project is based on peer methodologies and creativity in the service of active citizenship and the promotion of human rights and inclusion. The project has an offline and online component. Besides the field activities, the activist group engages in online awareness raising and mobilization activities to promote activism among their peers.
