Mobility for Trainees in HR Services and HR Management III
Start date: Jun 1, 2014, End date: May 31, 2016 PROJECT  FINISHED

The increasing internationalization of Human Resources in large enterprises and in the HR services sector has raised the demand for intercultural, foreign language and transnational professional competences of the employed people in this sector. The employees in HR and HR services highly contribute to the mobility of the European workforce by recruiting and placing people transnationally. That is why we think it is important to provide our future HR experts with international experience themselves at first. The participants, who are trainees in their 2nd year in a German dual traineeship which leads to the qualification “HR Services Consultant”, do 3-week work placements in different European countries. There are two ways of finding placements for them. Either our partners on Malta or in London provide suitable placements for our students or the students and their German training companies seek for a suitable host company themselves. The work placements take place in HR departments of larger companies or at HR services providers. The students get familiar with typical business processes in their host companies such as recruiting and working with staff as well as with customers. Our aim is to qualify our students for HR operations in an international context such as recruiting and placing staff cross-borderly, preparing employees for assignments abroad and communicating with branches and subsidiaries in other countries. Therefore they need to be familiar with the HR tools and procedures in foreign countries. Also they require the relevant HR language to communicate effectively with business partners and employees. We also expect an improvement of the employability, the learning performance as well as the future mobility of our participants.
