Joseph Zobel Secondary High School is a school with general and technological departments. There is also a Vocational High School with a car bodybuilding, electrotechnics, woodwork, maintenance of industrial equipment departments
Since 2008, a project team has been working with students of the car bodybuilding. In order to increase the value of the departments and to help them to be aware that they are able to be part of a higher project than working in a local garage.
We started our fourth resilience action named “We are all Joseph Zobel children” (famous writer who gave his name to our school). This action was part of our school project whose philosophy includes the ideas of Respect, Responsibility, Achievement, Living Together, Opening to the International. This project was our second mobility project.
The objectives were:
Opening to the International in order to let the students reinforce their technical knowledge and compare their skills to those of their European partners.
Improving their English
Developping their personality, reinforcing their autonomy, going beyond, strengthening their self-esteem, asserting their citizenship
After their mobility students will be prepared to a better position on a labour market continuously searching for multi-tasked technicians.
Our mobility project was intented to 6 students study car body work and painting aged 17/18 years old. in 2013/2014, they learned about the possibility of participating to our 2nd Erasmus + Mobility project in the United Kingdom.
The main activities took place during a 5 week work experience in Bournemouth
