Motivation factors of developing the project: General attitude towards crafts in Slovakia nowadays:- lack of interest in studying crafts- underestimation of the social status of craft work - disregard of the prospect of craft professions to find a place in the labor market - lack of interest in self-development, self self-discipline and responsibility- lack of inner motivation of students to be good craftsmenRecent prognosis of:- the course in the market needs in the area of services and tourism - the increase in labour market needs for professional craftsmen with positive attitude to development of the crafts.- constant development in the area of services and tourism- lack of well-trained craftsmen- in the professions studied at our school The school strives to help students properly respond to these prognosis and gain competitive advantage in employment. The aim of the project is to strengthen student´s attitude to studying crafts by:- offering them to receive a part of their vocational education abroad - improving their professional skills- gaining information about success and prospect of crafts abroad - understanding that it crucially depends on the student whether the craft bears fruit The aim: TO STIMULATE INTEREST IN HIGH QUALITY VET IN CRAFTS AND MOBILITYSpecific aims:1 To understand, acknowledge and promote international perspective of crafts2 To be able to apply new materials in the field3 To improve skills and learn new techniques and trends in the field4 To develop relevant personal competencesThe project reflects pillars of the school European development plan for years 2014 - 2020: 1 the attitude to craft depends on the level of its perspective on national and international level2 guaranty of grafts development = the global market pull to development of new materials, techniques, trends, innovations in the craft professions.3 to build on craft traditions and strengthen them + learn and acquire new techniques + envisage and develop new trends = then the craft has a future.The participants – students in the age 17 - 20 studying in the branches: cook, waiter, the hotel academy, hairdresser, beautician, enterprise in crafts and services. They will be in the initial stage of their training. They will have completed 2 – 3 years of theoretical and practical training. They are able to accomplish basic procedures individually and more sophisticated procedures with some assistance from the instructor. Programme of the mobility will have three phases:1 This I know, I am good at it 2 I am going to develop this3 Presentation of my improvement – evaluation of EO according to ECVET The mobility length 1, respectively 3 months.The participants – teachers of vocational subjects and languages, teachers of practical training and career advisors. Two-to-four-member teams of professionals will be established for certain destinations. They, together with partners, will coordinate the content of the work program for student mobility, observe their learning outcomes and finally evaluate the mobility according to ECVET. The dominant form - job shadowing. Teachers will be provided with a number of argumentation and ECVET tools to support positive attitude of other students, even after the mobility.The mobility length 2 weeksMain activities of the project:- to coordinate, together with partners, the program of students and teachers- to promote and disseminate the project to all the students and teachers of the school- to select participants and realize their all-round training- to improve and upgrade professional skills, knowledge and attitudes of the participants- to coordinate mobility so that the last 2 weeks students and teachers spend in mobility together and together with partner organizations evaluate it- to create a motivational material Motivational tools for promoting the study of the craft.- to hold a conference to support craft with the participation of partner organizationsExpected results:- a motivational material will include an amount of argumentation tools to support craft- extension and upgrading of professional skills- strengthening personal competencies: self-discipline, adaptability, flexibility, self motivation, responsibility, independence, purposefulness, ambition- the participant will experience the need to improve the craft and communication in a foreign language- a proof that mobility is a perspective part of VETExpected impacts:- to strengthen the positive reviews on future and perspective of craft- to internationalize school educational program- to reinforce the importance of career consulting- to include mobility as a compulsory part of VET in the field of hotel academy- to enhance the employability of participants in mobilityLong-term benefits:- Necessity of nation-wide support of internationalization and modernization in VET- Necessity to support dual vocational training- Evidence that crafts do have a future
