"MNE, une radio d'expression citoyenne" is a project held by the Old School association based in Mulhouse in France. This project will host two volunteers in the frame of the European Voluntary Service, to involve them in the activities of the MNE radio that promote active citizenship and local initiatives in various cultural, artistic and social fields.
The radio station broadcasts on the Internet (http://radiomne.com/) and the FM frequency: 107.5 (the territory of Haut-Rhin, 68).
Partners involved in this project:
- Tambour Battant, Coordinator, France;
- Dum deti a mládeže hl. m. Prahy, sending organization, Czech Republic;
- Old School, Host Organization, France.
- 2 Volunteers, Czech citizens or residents.
Proposed activities for volunteers:
- Conduct broadcasts involving upstream work (vox, reports, research of guests)
- Participate in the valuation of the radio and its programs
- Participate in the multimedia animation workshops for high school students and student groups
- Participate in the animation and preparation of programs related to the news with flash info and news agenda
- In addition to the tasks related to the project, volunteers will be invited to take part in other activities of the association: The "showcase" and "social solidarity communications agency."
- Volunteers will also participate in the weekly meeting of the association team. These are held every Monday morning.
Expected impacts:
- On the volunteers: a better knowledge of French and Alsatian cultures, good practice of French language, acquire competences on radio-related work and technical, acquisition of social and relational skills, enhance sense of belonging to Europe;
- On partners: exchange of good practices, development of new joint projects, strengthening youth volunteer tutoring experience.
- At local and European level: a better understanding of local initiatives of the population, strengthening of belonging to Europe and European citizenship, closer links between structures and populations of the countries represented by the partners involved;
Terms of Service:
Volunteers will conduct a service 30 hours per week, Monday to Friday conducted Between 9:00 and 18:00. They will have two days off per week (Saturday and Sunday), and they accumulate two days off per month they will have available at their convenience.
