The project: “The young on European labour market – practice and experience” will be done by a national mobility consortium formed by the Union of Producers and Employers in Meat Industry (UPEMI) as the Project Leader with numerous business contacts on the national market in gastronomy and hotel industry branches and three technical schools training in gastronomy and hotel industry professions. In the project will participate 34 students form The Complex of Schools in Sochaczew who train for the profession of nutrition and gastronomy services technician (23 students), hotel industry technician (6 students), cook (5 students); 34 students from the Complex of Gastronomy Schools in Białystok who train for the profession of of nutrition and gastronomy services technician (26 students), cook (4 students), pastry cook (4 students); 20 students from the Complex of Postsecondary Schools in Rumia who train the profession of nutrition and gastronomy services technician. They will be 1st,2nd and 3rd year students. The partner institution in the project is Europroyectos - a Spanish enterprise with a vast experience in organizing internships in Spanish companies. The participants will have their 4-week internships in catering and hotel industry companies in Grenada, Martos and Coroba in 2016. The project reflects the needs of the labour market which requires young professionally prepared employees and the need to support students while entering the labour market as well as it is continuation of previous cooperation between the UPEMI and the schools in this project. The aim of the project is to acquire professional experience and skills, increase language competence and personality development: building-up self-esteem and appreciating own abilities. The project is also aimed to contribute in increasing status and prestige of the consortium institutions, importance and dignity of vocational education and strengthening links between the business sector and education. The project involves a recruitment process, pedagogical, intercultural, linguistic preparation, 4 internships, monitoring, dissemination of project results and project evaluation. Each consortium institution will be responsible for certain tasks to complete and will follow a formerly agreed project schedule. The internships will be organized according to the internship program prepared by the consortium for each profession individually and accepted by the Spanish companies. It is expected that the project will bring numerous benefits for the institutions participating in the project. The students will acquire a set of new professionals skills validated by the Europass Mobility, their foreign languages competences will improve and international awareness will enhance. The project will be an opportunity to motivate students to excel professional skills as well as it will increase their self-esteem and self-empowerment. For the consortium institutions it will be an opportunity to gain new experiences in area of international cooperation, fulfilling the students’ needs which means to support their mobility on the labour market and improve career prospects, prevent them from social and professional exclusion and fulfilling the needs of participating institutions to strengthen links between the business sector and education aa well as improving quality and attractiveness of school training program. The methods of dissemination of the project results (IT tools, media, local and branch press, meetings with employees) assure a wide circle of recipients and long term lasting. Cooperation between participating institutions will develop into further common actions. A strong position of the Project Leader in the business environment will let it to promote the project participants and support their employability
