PROJECT
FINISHED
The project „ Młody kreatywny Europejczyk – edukacja ekonomiczna przez działanie”/"Young, creative European citizen - economic education through action" will be implemented in the period from October 2015 to the end of September 2017 in three schools - in Poland, the Netherlands and Italy. Its main priority is to enhance the quality of work in listed schools through spreading knowledge of Economics, entrepreneurship, as well as language and cultural competences among students. The projekct is the result of reflection on junior high school curricula that do not take into account the skills and knowledge of Economics and entrepreneurship and do not prepare students practically for the realities of life in this area. The studies carried out by the various institutions demonstrate the importance of these skills in life and show their low levels among students in almost all EU countries. The implementation of economic and entrepreneurship issues, which may be unattractive for students in this age, will be enriched by language and cultural context. An additional advantage in this regard will also be mobility of students. The project involves three modules. The first involves learning by students the basic concepts of Economics, for example. taxes, inflation, electronic money. The second module will be on economics in daily life, in practice (setting up a bank account, control of the household budget, the benefits and risks of loans, etc.). The third will be on the basics of entrepreneurship, for example: what does it mean to be entrepreneurial, how do you start a business. After each module there will be the mobility of students, each time in a different partner school. During these meetings the pupils will share and sum up the results of their project activities, present and share the results (e.g. photos, presentations, videos), and participate in joint activities provided for in the project. After each mobility, as a result of working together there will also be prepared a booklet/leaflet related to the topics of the module. There will be 60 students in total participating in the project, 20 from each school. Each school will take part in 2 mobilities to partner schools. In each mobility 10 students from each sending school and 20 students from the host school will take part. In each of the partner schools students will work in two groups of 10 students supported by five teachers (including the coordinator). In addition to the mobility of students there will be 4 project meetings attended by the school coordinator and one of the teachers participating in the project. School coordinators will keep monitor the implementation of the project activities, once every 2 months they will send a report to the main coordinator in which they will include the budget accounts and demonstrate the compliance of taken action to the schedule. Main Coordinator will be the teacher from Poland. As a result of the work of teachers involved in the project activities there will be the creation of pedagogical innovation on economics and enterprise, which will be placed on public Web portals. All participants of the project improve their language skills, make international contacts, exchange their experiences with other participants, develop the openness to other cultures and the need for European integration. This will increase their own activity, increase their mobility. Participation in the project activities will increase the knowledge and skills of students in the field of Economics and entrepreneurship. Higher qualified teachers-participants of the project will have an impact on the quality of work of the schools. They will encourage other school staff to learn foreign languages, to introduce and use new teaching methods. They will dare other teachers to make use of the opportunities offered by such projects and mobility.
