Project Youth United in Peace brings together 63 young people from different ethnic, national, religious backgrounds, different age and gender. They come from the divided cities like Vukovar, Srebrenica and Gornji Vakuf Uskoplje and cities that are know as an intercultural places like Tuzla and Sombor. Through the seven days long exchange young people will recognize themselves as more similar than different, they will learn how to deal with the burden of the past, different views on the events of the war in ‘90 , manipulation of the media and politicians and all that in order to build tolerant society, creating strong links between young people who are a prerequisite for the maintenance of long lasting peace in the Balkans. Building trust, understanding, tolerance and spreading the message of peace is an idea that runs through all the activities of the youth exchange. Youngsters will leave the project with friendships that know no borders.
