Suvilahti school from Vaasa, Finland, wants to enhance the profieciency of its teachers. The aim is to develop a partly book-free learning environment for the students by creating meaningful learning entities, according to the new national curriculum, using Office 365. Furthermore, the objectives are to improve teamwork and co-working skills among the teachers and to develop the CLIL-methodology within the school. By improving our CLIL-teaching and the the ability to use ICT in teaching and learning we also want to prevent students inequality.By applying for a KA1-project we wish to collaborate with partner schools that have practical knowledge and experience that support our development in ICT- skills and CLIL-methodology: Coláiste Bhaile Chláir school in Ireland and El Santo school in Spain. The project between the partner schools would be carried out through Skype-meetings and and two job-shadowing visits (one to each of the partner schools). After the visits we would continue our collaboration by email, Skype and eTwinning. Together we will create a CLIL-material bank using Office 365.The first step of the project includes eight teachers who will actively work on establishing a communication between the partner schools. After the actual job-shadowing visits the project would continue on a school level with students participating by using Skype, email and eTwinning. Each visit will last one week. The visit to Coláiste Bhaile Chláir in Ireland will take place sometimes during September-October 2016 and Suvilahti school will be represented by the principal, an ICT-specialized teacher, a CLIL-teacher and a Finnish-speaking co-teacher. During March or April 2017 two specialized CLIL-teachers and their Finnish co-partners will visit El Santo in Spain. We will share our newly obtained knowledge acquired via the KA1-project with the teachers of our school and also with the teachers of other schools in Vaasa. We will also expand our collaboration with to other bilingual schools in the area. The use of Office 365 will be introduced in Vaasa´s ICT-festival for teachers.
