PROJECT

Migrating Arts II is a youth exchange aiming to raise awareness among young people to encourage them adopting their own culture against assimilation and thereby provide an appropriate atmosphere for intercultural dialogue. In order to make participants internalize the topic better, both visual and digital materials will be used.
The project is going to take place in Istanbul within the scope of Erasmus+. 7 partner organizations from 7 countries will take part in the exchange. There are going to be 5 participants(including 1 group leader) from 6 partner organizations and 8 participants from host organization.
Firstly, the partner organizations should get to know about the project and the cultural status of where they come from. Afterwards they should prepare themselves and their given tasks for the project through preparing an interview with a migrant artist and preparing a country presentation. We are surely expecting from participants to be aware of the similarities and the differences between their own culture and the Turkish culture. As a result of the workshops and working groups that are based on the interests of participants, it is planned to have synthesis as output. We believe that art is one of the most effective ways in intercultural dialoguee. Therefore art is going to be used as the tool for interaction between different cultures. In the end, participants from different cultures will get to know each other and likewise a common-made performance show of different arts will be carried out.
All those steps will be concreted with interviews, videos and presentations.
