During the youth exchange 48 young people from 8 different countries meet in Estonia, in order to get to know other cultures and acquire knowledge and skills in the field of IT and media. All the participants come from youth organizations, which all have some experience in international work, many of them are or were students, which supports a good academic atmosphere during the meeting. The aims of the exchange are increasing of environmental awareness and developing of inter-cultural learning through the use of attractive forms of media. During the project we learn about environmental problems of different countries, learn from good practices and offer possible solutions for getting rid of problems. Using the folklore of different nations, which contain the theme of nature, emphasizing forest, we create media products, which are educational and at the same time easily spreadable to other people. With the help of videos, musical videos and animations we show folksongs, riddles, sayings, proverbs and legends of different nations. Project also improves knowledge about different tree species, forest and forestry. We learn to use forest products for food, create a digital herbarium and a species dictionary in 8 languages. We emphasize the problems in the world security, need for peace and stability and the impact of war both on people and environment. Trainings and activities done hopefully raise the good opportunities of participants on labour market. The dissemination of the results in our own communities and wider will help to raise the overall awareness of cultural differences and environmental issues, understanding and tolerating differences between people and nations. Project will be conducted in a dense cooperation of partners during the preparatory work before the meeting, during it and in planning the continuing activities. Studying is conducted using different methodologies, most of the studies are carried outdoors as the premises of Luua Forestry College create perfect conditions for them.
