The project aims at the improvement of transparency of qualifications in national and European context by certification of key competences in the metal sector. Best practice cases will be evaluated and a list of key competences and qualifications on national and European level will be set up. The main expected results will be: catalogues of best practice cases, lists of key competences, guidelines for a transnational accreditation system and evaluation and validation procedures for the competences in the metal and chemical sector, meeting the challenges of the changes in metal sector. Primary target groups are professionals in the metal sector, esp. older ones between 40 and 64 with experience in the sector, but with no formal credit of their competences. Final users of the results will be the accreditation and certification organisations as well as VET staff, members of trade unions and staff in vocational orientation.
