The fact that teachers of vocational teachers’ inability to cope with the contemporary issues and inefficiencies in the vocational education curriculum is a huge handicap standing right before the education system in Turkey. While there exists a number of developments and innovations in the field of child development, our education system and trainers cannot advance much. This condition makes it compulsory for our future graduates to know and apply new systems. Project Based learning system, which is now commonly used by European countries, has also been recently started in our country. All of the sectors providing training on child development ad training field feel the need for well-trained and qualified labor force. We are targeting to bring in qualified individuals from our child development and training department with this project.
The students from Electric-Electronics&Technologies Dept. will conduct internship activities on programmable controllers, i.e. PLC Programming Techniques that are used industrial control systems. Within the scope of this project, one of our main objectives is to understand the current developments on PLCs, which have developed as their size have got smaller since 1980s, and build up the necessary foreign language terms and concepts to follow the developments. Our needs on such systems, which is used from many electronic equipments to elevator systems include modifications to use them in irrigation and various local electronic equipments. It is also important to train student for improving, maintaining and repairing of these systems.
Web sites are becoming more and more important everyday as a serious tool for communication and advertisement for private companies as the number of people spending time on the Internet and their average time on the is rising. Therefore, work capacity for website design is quite high. The students from Information Technologies will participate in internship activities whose scope will consist of the innovations in interactive and dynamic website design and different areas of use and current applications. The students will have opportunities to cover this scope through observation, training and practice on the spot.
The major goals of this projected can be listed as follows: enhancing participants adaptation in their job, improving their personal and language skills, increasing the rate of employment and training more qualified students in their fields.
