(Travel days: 12st of july and 23th of july) Duration: 10 days Place: Agostyán, Ecovillage partner countries: Turkey, Poland, Finnland, Italy, Hungary Pax number: 40 (originally: 8/group - it changed which changes are explained later)+6 leader Type of activity: Youth exchange- tematic camp Main field: Get to know the system of the symbols in our folk tales, recognise how important values are involved in these symboles, which can educate the children to be more active citiziens of Europe. Recognise that the traditions give solutions the contemporary challenges! Activities and themes: Tales demonstration, folk traditions, song, dances, collective tale write and public performance, handicraft, Methods: informal and non-formal learning, drama pedagogy, education through sports "Once upon a time" there were 8 children of the beautiful blue falcon, they were the Blue Falcon Clan of the Rainbow Tribe. They have decided to explore the tales of another countries. This was an international youth exchange in Gerecse mountain in summer of 2015 The participants got to know each others folktales, and awake to the ancient knowledge and wisdom, which help them to grow up as a more active citizien of Europe. Also the similarity or different points in our traditions and tales. We showed and teached to each other our folk traditions, songs, dances. This way the participants got to know better their own culture and the same time got closer to the European cultures as well. The youngsters wrote together a new tale which based on the traditional tales and they made a performance on 19th of july to the local audience. Folk musik and dance, handicrafts, drama and the playful intercultural evenings will make enjoyable the cultural learning throughout the week. Walking trips, outdoor games and sport activities in the beautiful Gerecse will strengthen youngsters' love of nature and their demand of healthy lifestyles. We hope that the cheerful experiences of the week motivated participants to plan new future projects establishing this way a long term cooperation with each other in the European Union.
