As TREX EVS; we are going to submit to Turkish National Agency in order to get grant for sending young people to Europe through EVS. We are going to call this project “Mercan” which means coral in deep of sea. There is a fascinating world under sea which consists of various living creature like fishes, starfishes, sea urchins, sponges, lobsters, shrimp, octopus, crustaceans, sea grass and seaweed. They all live around coral ecosystem. We suppose that the EVS gives all young people from all over the world explore each other with their all differences. After very short time volunteers can live all together with the common purpose. They all wouldfind out a new culture, language, people, life,explore the new places, streets, countries, squares,get new perspectives by debating people during workshops, festivals, gain new skills and attitudes such as being tolerated, empathetic, respectful etc.make a friendship for long years which they can never give up We would like to provide to Turkish young people to enrich their experience and improve their skills. For young people of Turkey, this issue has highly important because of the lack of awareness of the active civil society and the appropriate information about volunteerism and the meaning of it. Giving to them the chance to join and act in a multicultural society and especially abroad in such a project will stimulate their quest for another way of enriching their experiences and lead them to a more European oriented way of thinking. Our main aim of this project is continue the youth movement in international platform. Mainly we aim that the youth movements continue and turn back to our young people positively. Also we want that the youth utilize the facilitation of international movements and experience the international communication. During the project 11 volunteers will do EVS with long term and short term activities in different countries. They will organized by this project in Greece, France and Spain.The volunteer that we'll send to Greece will support the works of Balkan investigations by using different media tools. The volunteers that we'll send to France will attend to street festival which is organized every year by Cronenbourg Victor Schoelcher Sociocultural Center and our volunteers will find chance to figure out and exchange of new culture and meet new people. The volunteer that we'll send to Spain will have hosting project would be a combination of two activities: collaboration with the dissemination of European activities of Ser Joven and EVS, community management, publishing photos, creating posters, leaflets, etc, etc... and...three days of the week - collaboration with one of our local social projects (either with blind people)
