Encouraging development and forming ecological awareness in the cross border region and within the circles of society of all interested subjects. The emphasis of the project is the exchange of knowledge on renewable energy sources through direct experience. Armed with new knowledge the public´s need for turning to renewable sources of energy will strengthen and create a tendency towards an ecological way of life, in accordance with the principles that enforce environmental protection. As such, projects for the application of renewable sources of energy in industry will be generated, due to the fact that information on efficient and economically justifiable solutions has become readily available to everyone. The involvement of experts and advisors, based on the methods that are in accordance with local capabilities, has already initiated the process of selection and application of energeticallyefficient alternatives of an energy strategy based on renewable sources. Achievements: Based on the evaluation of the situation in the counties of Zala, Vas and Somogy, a study has been prepared that selected 11 extremely interesting projects as its presentation platform. Six of the locations are perfect for the formation of presentation points. Alongside the construction work on the formation of these points, an expert elaboration of program packages has also commenced (energy days, school programs) as well as the preparation of educational materials for visitors. By the first half of 2007 all six presentation points, were complete and became operational. For the opening of the presentation points maps and brochures were prepared marking the locations of the points. A two-day study trip through Austria and Slovenia was organized in 2006 in which 18 people took part.
