HACD has long been seeking the opportunity to take over knowledge and experiences from Polish CAL. It is also important for us to offer for our colleagues the possibility of making international contacts and getting to know foreign practices. Our main objective is to have 20 people attend an English speaking course implemented by CAL. We aim to provide knowledge and experiences for each participant which they can adapt to their professional activities, to improve their English proficiency, and to make them establish personal contacts with Polish colleagues. Our organizational aim is to make the first steps of our long-term “European Learning Process” program, to channel new methodological knowledge into our organization, and to raise the standard of our trainings. Also, we hope to move forward in the field of the definition, evaluation and acknowledgement of knowledge and competences gained during vocational, non-formal and informal courses.The project participants (20 people) are all the employees, cooperating partners or volunteers of HACD; most of them are connected to other NGOs, as well, thus the knowledge, experiences and contacts gained during our course can be utilized in several rounds. Our colleagues’ main fields of interest relevant in this project: community work in urban neighbourhoods, community work with various age groups, community based operation of community spaces, cooperation with municipalities, local publicity, e-methods in community development and the Polish education and training system of community development. The horizontal aspect holding the fields of interest together: the methodology of CAL, training and development tools as parts of a complete system. Planned professional activities: professional preparation (on the Polish side); professional preparation of Group 1; language preparation of Group 1; implementation of Course 1; evaluation of Course 1 (together with Polish partner and according to specific Hungarian vocational aspects); dissemination of the results of Course 1; professional preparation of Course 2 (on the Polish side and on the basis of the experiences gained during Course 1); professional preparation of Group 2; language preparation of Group 2; implementation of Course 2; evaluation of Course 2 (together with Polish partner and according to specific Hungarian vocational aspects); dissemination of the results of Course 2.Learning outcomes: the experts involved in the elaboration of the training strategy and materials of our Association gain a comprehensive picture about the training network of a national organization working under circumstances similar to those in our country. This will help the further development of our training strategy. Other concrete learning results: 1. methods of the inclusion and mobilisation of people in urban and rural environment, 2. new aspects and approaches in the field of defining the kit of knowledge and competences necessary for people working at various levels of community development. Effects: Participants: In the future, they will be able to apply the vocational and methodological knowledge gained during the course in their own field and training practice, so their professional and methodological palette may become more colourful, and the standard of their work higher. The vocational self-reliance and self-confidence of the young colleagues grow considerably. CAL: Their professional prestige rises, and in the future they can make good use of the system-level overlook and the elaborated training material when developing new training or professional programs. HACD: the quantity and quality of professional knowledge owned by our organization improves as well as our organizational self-confidence. Probably, more English language literature will be read and translated which will end up in the stimulation of domestic professional life. Target groups (the participants of our own trainings): They will get a share from the positive effects of the project indirectly: the trainings offered for them will become more colourful in methods and of higher professional standard, and in certain cases they will have the possibility to build direct contacts with Polish groups. National level: both our colleagues and HACD will be able to contribute to the planning, elaboration and implementation of the mobilization and training programs the successful implementation of which will be an inevitable factor of the thriving realization of national operative Programs and EU development projects. International level: our project will serve as a good example for the cooperation of other organizations. Concerning the definition and systemization of the knowledge and competences necessary at the various levels of community work, our Association can give considerable support to the relevant endeavours of the European network of CD organizations which, in the long run, may even help the implementation of European development policies.
