FINISHED
This project involves one volunteer coming from Belgium to Bosnia and Herzegovina for a period of 12 months. One of the main aims of the project is intercultural interaction between the volunteer and young people from Bosnia. The main topics of this EVS will be creativity and culture, entrepreneurial learning and youth. The EVS volunteer will be engaged in the youth centre "Carpe Diem" where he will be helping in the library, organising foreign language workshops, promoting Youth in Action and European programs in general where he will take active part in organizing local trainings for young people on the topic of active participation, community building and project management. By doing so he’ll try to activate the local youth, promote civil society in the local community and Europe and so enhance social cohesion. The volunteer will be engaged 5 days a week for 7 hours per day (conform the EVS-rules) and will be equipped with a working desk, computer, internet connection and telephone line so the volunteer will be able to implement activities in the best possible way. This project is strongly aiming to improve the volunteer's working skills and provide him with all necessary knowledge for his future job searching process. The volunteer will also have a chance to develop his own project with help and support of the hosting organization staff, which will contribute to the development of the volunteer's skills and project management abilities. During this period of 12 months, the volunteer will live in a single room in a shared flat. The flat is situated in walking distance from the office in the centre of city of Doboj. Organizations involved in this project are Youth Centre Carpe Diem(as Hosting organization) and VIA vzw (as sending organization).
