Mediterranean Music Connections - Ethno Cyprus 2016 is a 10-days youth exchange bringing together around 32 youngsters from Cyprus, Belgium, Croatia, Jordan and Egypt to Limassol during July 2016, in order to discuss and share views on their arts and culture having the traditional music as a starting point. The program is composed from workshops, team-work sessions, outdoor activities, round-tables, visits to cultural sites and art venues, music programs and similar inclusive non-formal education methods. The participants will have a chance to explore the tradition and richness of Other countries, societies and cultures, to recognize and challenge stereotypes about Others, define the common constrains that young people are facing across Mediterranean and to detect possible solutions to them that include mobility, employment and education systems reforms. The project will create a network of youth&music NGOs between European and Mediterranean partner countries providing at the same time an impetus to Euro-Arab Youth Music Centre established and launched in Limassol by all of them.
