The project has been developed to comprise three localities, in Serbia: Rakovac-Dombo and Novi Bečej-Arača, and in Hungary: Bugac-Felső Monostor. It creates a thematic route for the medieval monasteries of the region, to manage common cultural heritage and to develop tourism. Activities: 1. Cross-border archaeological research, studies regarding appearance, construction phases and spatial concept for all three sites are developed. 2. Conservation and restoration works on Dombo and Felső Monostor: making copies of spoils on the Dombo site and returning to their original place, water on the Dombo site, parking space and sanitary block on the Arača site. 3. Thematic routes are developed based on these monasteries as key points of interest, but with the inclusion of other locations available on the way. 4. A joint exhibition aimed at presenting the research and joint promotion of tourist activities and offers will be organized. Target groups: experts of relevant institutions, local residents, tourist groups as well as the general public. Achievements: Prelliminary excavation works were implemented on the Bugac-Felső Monostor in means of preliminary survey of the site, geophysical sampling at the resumed monastic sites at Alsómonostor and Felsőmonostor to define the extension and ground plan of the complex. Radar survey also was implemented, as well as metal detector.Big segment scheme was marked out and silver coins, remain of bronze bracelet and bronze signet ring were turned up. Archaeological research works have been carried out in Rakovac Dombo-Gradina, at the place of northern part of the monastery complex. Digitalization of technical records of the site as well as the old drawings and plans from archives have been completed.
