Context: The project responds to the need to create opportunities for cultural exchange between two realities Mediterranean Sicily and Malta, bringing the SMEs in the province of Agrigento specialised in the production of ceramics, especially those of Sciacca to those Maltese, thereby creating the conditions not only for the transfer of techniques for processing and production, but also the opportunity for a deepening of tourist characteristics of their respective territories, from the perspective of sustainable tourism, or that tourism that by definition requires the integration of the natural environment, cultural and human affairs and respect of 'balance that characterizes many tourist resorts, especially small islands and environmental areas at risk. Aims: The main objective of the project is to disseminate product innovation for the ceramic industry and services for the tourism sector from the enhancement of cultural heritage and turning it into value added through a cooperation that celebrates the common values of the two countries, Italy and Malta. The project pursues a model of development of ceramics production quality eco-compatible and new forms of sustainable tourism, especially cultural off-peak tourism.
