Our target group for the project will be 64 students of Vocational School from Zespół Szkół Nr 1 in Swarzędz. These students will be of occupations such as vehicle mechanic and vehicle electro-mechanic. In our school sudents learn in order to become VW Company workers in the futurein Poznań-Antoninek .The project will be realized in spring and autumn of 2016. Connected with the project we are planning 2 exchanges of our students (16 of them) to Kreishandwerkschaft Waldeck Frankenberg in Korbach and 2 exchanges of our students (16 of them) in Handwerkskammer Hildesheim-Sunds.. The main aim of the project is to improve students’ qualifications as vehicle mechatronics workers. The project can make the methodology of teaching more attractive for the students and higher the level of their qualifications as future workers in the company. Furthermore, the students will use modern IT systems as well as highly professional equipment for vehicle diagnostics. What is more, thanks to the project the students will be able acquire better practical skills and this is very important on the work market nowadays. The project will also help our school as a modern centre which teaches different professions. Graduates of this school will be able to use the knowledge acquired during the project in their later work. These students will be able to use professional software for vehicle diagnostics.
Additionally, the project will add the practical part to the process of education based on the Ministry of Education program. Another important factor for our students is to get to know German culture, typical traditions for the area, improve their German language skills and learn cooperation in international groups. This project is the answer to the needs of work market and our cooperation with German VW Company where the students will receive training. The project will be realized in a professional place suitable for vehicle mechatronics. Our school is not able to give proper training in our building because of poor equipment. That is why we chose the schools in Korbach and in Hildesheim which have the needed equipment. The school has professional electronic equipment for engine diagnostics.
During the exchange, lessons and training will be under control of teachers from Germany. On these lessons a Polish-German translator will also be present to make sure that the students will understand everything. Polish students will take part in the lessons in Germany for 15 weekdays. These lessons will help the students to improve their German professional vocabulary. In the afternoon, after the lessons, they will get to know German culture. This exchange is very important, but before it takes place, our students need to attend extra lessons of professional vocabulary in German (40 hours) and vocational lessons (90hours) and culture lessons (8hours).To sum up, we expect that the project will help our graduates to become better candidates on work market in Poznań area, they will become more flexible and open to IT innovations. Additionally, after the project we plan to show its final effects to the public.
