"Maths Beyond Limits" is a project, that will be carried out by groups of young people interested in developing their mathematical passions outside school which are acting in association with the following organisations: Polish Children's Fund (Poland) and Charles University in Prague (Czech Republic).The main goals of the project are:- exchange of experience concerning mathematical education in Czech Republic and Poland.- development of participants' English language knowledge, particularly the specialistic mathematical vocabulary.- promotion of the idea of non-formal education.- encouraging young people to take part in citizens' initiatives and to organise such actions.- encouraging the youth to solve problems using team work.The main actions of the project is a youth mobility that will take place in Milowka near Zywiec on 13-22.09.2016. The participants will get to know peers from a neighbour country, develop their mathematical abilities, see the culture of the partner country and learn many methods of work and self-development. It will be an unusual and unique opportunity to build contacts with peers with similar passions, also ones that live in other countries. During the mobility there will be workshops run by the participants, leaders and experts, which will concern various branches of academic mathematics, intercultural education, organising initiatives, team cooperation and techniques of giving presentations and presenting your arguments in discussions. Furthermore, participants will prepare and carry out an original game for the children from a local school, where the children will have an opportunity to see how frequently the mathematics acts in life, even without our realising it.Before the mobility an organisation meeting will take place. The leaders with one representative for each group will take part in it. It will enable handling all the remaining issues, planning the last details of the mobility and it will prevent the problems and conflicts from occurrence during the mobility.The planned results of the project are: creating a structured and regular cooperation between the organisations taking part in it, particularly in organising youth initiatives, which will enable an improvement in efficiency and quality of the cooperation, a development of participants' mathematical knowledge and abilities, an improvement in their English language use and the soft abilities, with special consideration of the ability to work in team.Among the results of the project there will be also the promotion of mathematics as an attractive and forward-looking branch of science that is worth being developed both due to the fact that the knowledge of science, whose foundation is the mathematics, will be more and more valued competence in the labour market and the fact that mathematical way of thinking is an effective method of solving manifold problems.
