The project aims at the development of courses and experimental exercises for a Masters of Engineering in Sound & Vibration for four Egyptian universities. It further includes training of teachers, establishment of a new laboratory for Acoustic Emission at the Arab Academy for Science and Technology and the development of ECTS. The specific objectives are: "• Development of a set of Postgraduate courses intended to teach practical and applied issues related to the field of Sound and Vibration to engineers in Egypt and Arab Countries.• Establish a model for Masters of Engineering Degrees in Egypt.• A new Masters of Engineering in Sound and Vibration at Ain Shams University in Cairo.• Adaptation of the developed courses and degree to the ECTS according the Bologna Process to be the first program in Egypt to comply with the ECTS.• The new Masters of Engineering Degree will be a joint degree between Ain Shams University and KTH (the Royal Institute of Technology) in Sweden.• Establish close links between the universities in Egypt and the end users of the graduates (Industry - Governement - Community)"
