The project is based on an agreement of Transnational Cooperation between PROEXCA (Lead Partner of the project) and the State Secretary of Natural Environment and Resources (partner) and consists on the design of a model of integral tourist development for the zone Bay of the Eagles / Pedernales and the National Parks of Jaragua and Sierra de Bahoruco of the Dominican Republic, near the border with Haiti. It includes/understands the analysis of the territorial model, infrastructure the human and financial necessities of the zone, the resources that are needed to its implantation, the definition of the tourist product to develop and the city-planning and architectonic planning. All the analysis are based on the concept of sustainable development considering the abundant existing natural resources in the zone of performance and the human resources that are available.
