The project will concern organising an international youth exchange for young people from Poland and Lithuania. The participants of the project will be youth with fewer educational opportunities (some wards from Youth Resettlement House, disabled youth as well as youth from rural areas). All the participants are regularly involved in artistic activities organised after school. There is going to be 51 participants, including leaders and youth workers.The subject of the project will concern refugees' situation and stereotyping in perceiving those people as well as other social problems of people living in cross border areas (where the majority of Polish participants live).During the exchange the participants will get to know young people and vounteers invoved in helping some refugees, there's going to be a meeting organized for a local community which will be connected with discussing some refugees' problems and war matters. During the meeting some young people from Lithuania will present films and pictures which will allow the others to understand the complicated situation of refugees, make them more sensitive to the problem, their need of help and stereotyping their situation. These aims will be achieved by using non-formal educational methods and also by using some individual talents and interests of the participants connected with art. The art will become a tool to express the opinions of young people. The project will last 8 days.Realized activities will help young people to develop in many various areas connected with non-formal education and intercultural education. The results of the project, due to some film productions created during the project, will be disseminated in many communities including a local community, wards from Youth Resettlement Houses and Rehabilitation Centres as well as amongst youth workers, non-governmental activists and journalists.
