Overall activity of the project is about strengthening and consolidating the tourism infrastructure, and increasing the quality of tourism services within the regional development poles of Săpânţa, Botiza , Sighetu Marmatiei (RO) and Solotvino (UA), from the cross border region of Maramureş – Transcarpathia. Specific activities are the following: establishing the tourist information centers in Săpânţa, Botiza, Sighetu Marmatiei (RO) and Solotvino (UA), purchasing equipment, hiring the personnel as well as making tourism prospective research in the tourism development poles of Săpânţa, Botiza, Sighetu Marmatiei (RO) and Solotvino (UA) and in the cross border region of Maramureş – Transcarpathia; The specific activities of the project also foresee rural tourism course for guesthouse administrators, holding workshops with the rural guesthouse administrators and craftsmen and marking 8 tourist tracks at Săpânţa, Botiza, Sighetu Marmatiei, Solotvino; Achievements: 4 crossborder tourist information centers in Săpânţa, Botiza, Sighetu Marmatiei (RO) and Solotvino (UA) localities; Tourism data base; 8 marked tourist tracks, charted and described in the tourist guidebook and in the web page; 70 rural guesthouse administrators and potential rural tourism investors from Săpânţa, Botiza (RO) and Solotvino (UA) localities coursed; Social cohesion of the rural guesthouse administrators and craftsmen; Tourist guidebook Săpânţa - Botiza – Solotvino: 1000 pcs., tourist map Săpânţa: 1000 pcs., tourist map Botiza: 1000 pcs., tourist map Sighetu Marmaţiei - Solotvino: 1000 pcs., cross border tourist map Maramureş – Transcarpathia : 2000 pcs., tourist leaflets in Romanian, Ukrainian and English for the project localities : 4000 pcs.;Tourist web site; 3 double electrically lit tourist panels with maps and photos for Săpânţa, Botiza and Solotvino; Distributed promoting materials, project poster: 50 pcs.; Scientific symposium (including 10 university professors attending);
