PROJECT
FINISHED
The project intends to contribute to the development of an integrated tourist promotion action in the Italian-Slovenian cross-border area and to open up new employment opportunities. Specifically it aims at providing customised contents for the management of small accommodation facilities in the cross-border area, thus putting forward a new source of income for the rural population - mainly women - either unemployed or underemployed. The activity of this trained professional is closely connected to the overall tourist offer of the relevant cross-border areas and includes the management of small accommodation facilities, such as room rentals, farmhouses and B&Bs. The survival and development of these facilities, that operate only for certain periods of time during the year, depend on their ability to diversify, specialise and select their targeted sources of income-clients, adopting more determined actions in order to increase the rentability of the facilities that make up the offer. This figure can be employed in the integrated accommodation sector in the territory or in a rural or private-house context, he/she can start his/her own entrepreneurial activity, either as a one-man or corporate business. In order to support the development of entrepreneurial activities, one training unit of the course will focus on business startups.
