Description (EN): This project will develop tools to enhance capacity of manufacturing companies in the NPA region to adapt and embrace new technologies and innovation. The toolbox developed will consist of subsets such as Digital manufacturing (robotics and simulation), New ideas and thinking (human centered and environmental thinking, competitiveness), Business models and modern Product innovation. Expected Results (EN): Degree of collaborations between SMEs and R&D Expected Outputs (EN): The project is contributing to the programme results sought under Priority Axis 1 - Using Innovation to Maintain and Develop Robust and Competitive Communities and Specific Objective 1.1: Increased innovation and transfer of new technology to SMEs in remote sparsely populated areas.The main results that the project aims to achieve are:The project will address the identified challenges and barriers faced by indigenous manufacturing companies located in the NPA region. It will share and transfer existing innovation and technology support components that have been developed and tested by the partners in their own regions for their manufacturing industries. Through the transnational partnership all of the different manufacturing innovation supports developed by each partner shall be:• Tested, implemented and refined across each partner region• New manufacturing and product innovation services for SMEs developed through the learning from the pilot testing stage• A full suite of manufacturing innovation supports (service toolbox) compiled by the transnational partnership.
