1 – ContentNowadays, in times of global and fast-paced competition, businesses gravitate towards innovative practices in savings of time and labor, producing higher quality products with less time and cost. One of the main innovative applications within the manufacturing sector for machinery parts is mechanical simulation. It is a technique that forecasts potential failure and deficiency by projecting the working patterns and system of machinery parts or assembly into a simulated environment in a computer, therefore enabling us to detect behavioral patterns of machinery before proceeding with production. Mechanical simulation is a technological application that illustrates how individual machinery parts work together in reality, and how these parts will response to pressure, force and heat in their environment by utilizing scientifically and mathematically analyzed computer data. Through using mechanical simulation, effects of proposed changes to or design on machinery parts can be monitored clearly on computer screen to detect for any potential failure and deficiency when running the system in reality. Furthermore, mechanical simulation is securing its place in industry sector in Turkey thanks to its status in machine manufacturing. Mechanical simulation that secures its place in Konya, trending city in machinery manufacturing sector in Turkey, gave rise to issue of qualified technical personnel. Raising qualified technical personnel who are able to operate mechanical simulation systems within the scope of Konya machinery manufacturing sector pointed to the need to increase the quality of vocational education in related areas. Realizing this increase in quality of vocational education is made possible through upgrading vocational skills of vocational education personnel. 2 – PurposeMain purpose of the project is to enhance the overall quality of machinery sector in TR52 Level 2 (Konya-Karaman) district and to provide high standard technological products for this sector. Exclusive Purposes of the Project:a. To develop professional capabilities of participants regarding mechanical simulation.b. To increase the quality of vocational education about mechanical simulation in consortium-member schools.c. To upgrade vocational education capacity and international appeal and quality of consortium-member schools.3 - Participant DemographicsParticipants involve 14 teachers from machinery technology and motor vehicles technology fields in Akşehir İsmet İnönü Vocational and Technical Anatolian High School, 7 teachers from machinery technology and motor vehicles technology fields in Selçuklu Vocational and Technical Anatolian High School, 5 teachers from machinery technology field in Ilgın Ş. Harun Çoban Vocational and Technical Anatolian High School, 4 teachers from machinery technology field in Seydişehir Vocational and Technical Anatolian High School. Total participant number is 30 vocational education personnel.4 - Description of Activities a. Creating the project team.b. Doing informative project meeting.c. Selecting participants and signing contracts with the participants.d. Training and preparing participants.e. Carrying out project coordination meetings.f. Realizing practical studies in Poland.g. Filling in participant report documents and uploading them to system.h. Disseminating the project and expanding its reach.i. Sending final report to National Agency (Ulusal Ajans).5 – Methodologya. After receiving admittance of the project, contracts will be signed among participants and participating institutions. This will enable us to document corresponding responsibilities of the participants.b. To recruit participants, an informative meeting will be held to allow all interested candidates to apply for this project so that a fair and equal participation can be achieved. Selection of participants will be realized by participant selection committee through conducting interviews. Interview Evaluation Form will be used to ensure that a transparent and fair selection of participants is made.c. Under the scope of project studies, participants will receive cultural, vocational, and foreign language training so that they perform optimally during their studies in Poland.d. Project Dissemination studies will be made. This will allow access for relevant individuals to experiences of participants in project studies in Poland.6 - Expected Results and Overall Impacta. Participants will receive proper vocational experience and upgrade their skills regarding mechanical simulation.b. Developing novel education models about mechanical simulation.c. Participants will increase foreign language communicative skills.d. Participants will acquire European work experience and discipline.7 - Advantages in Long RunThe inclusion of qualified personnel into machinery parts production sector in Turkey will in return increase the competitive edge of our industry in global market.
