Make music. Not war. is going going to be a international youth exchange with 45 participants and group leaders coming from 8 different conflict/political turmoil countries - Israel, Palestine, Kosovo, Serbia, Bosnia, Croatia, Greece and Germany and coming from 5 different religions (jews, muslims, ortodox, catolics and protestants) which will be like a rainbow presentations of diversity among humans. The project will be held in Bremen, the city of the street musicians from 14-24th of April 2017. The participants are going to learn about each other culture with making music. Music is proven to be a bridge between cultures and religions and doesnt have limitations. They are going to learn each others music, will learn each others cultures and religions and will grow together as world citizens. They will perform their music on the streets of Bremen and Oldenburg and in youth clubs in those cities, where we all will have the opportunity to share our story and promote peace and tolerance and reconciliation. The participants are going to make a peace song that they will record in studio and/or video with which they will promote peace, tolerance, intercultural and relogious understanding. We will also make a 20-30 minutes documentary about the project with highlighting the different characters in the story and the opportunity that Erasmus+ is offering with this kind of projects. We will have the local youngsters refugees involved as participants, but also in the preparation of the activities for the project. We will include them in every phase and show by example of how integration and equal opportunities should be in all communities. We will have a lot of media involvement where the participants will be as journalists that will contact the local media, but also the media from their own countries, send them photos and materials and inform the public about the project and learning the participant have. This youth exchange will send a powerful message to all different communities around the world. We dont want to make war. We want to make music and live in peace, understanding, tolerance and equal opportunities for everyone.
