Make an Impact!
Start date: Jan 15, 2015, End date: Oct 14, 2015 PROJECT  FINISHED

Most youth organizations today express the need to benefit from the implementation of past projects without having to start from scratch every time they plan a new project. “Make an Impact!” was a training course that brought together youth workers and youth leaders in order to explore ways to increase the impact of youth projects within their organizations and their communities. The participants were guided to extend the potentials of non-formal education methods and techniques in creating original projects in order to address the needs of young people. Special focus was given in the enhancement of Digital Skills and the use of ICT (information communication technologies) in order not only to coordinate (international) projects but also to multiply their impact. The participants discovered ways to use open source software and the social media in order to maximize the influence of their work and to promote well- being and healthy behaviors of the youth. A guide for dissemination and exploitation of results with the use of ICT was created with the contribution of all the participants. A publication about the project was also created and disseminated by the partners. As a result of the project, the participants developed key competences along with traversal skills. They also learned how to use non-formal education and how to raise the visibility of their projects. This way they were able to support their own target groups, in particular young people with fewer opportunities (i.e. young people from remote or rural areas, young people in unemployment) in becoming more effective and more visible. The outcome of the training course had a strong multiplication effect.
