Macedonian as a Foreign Language Curriculum Upgrading

The Consortium of this project consist of seven partner Universities: four Universities from fYR of Macedonia i.e. University "SS.Cyril and Methodius" of Skopje, University "Goce Delcev" of Stip, University "St. Kliment Ohridski" of Bitola and University American College of Skopje, and EU partnercountries i.e. Jagiellonian University in Krakow (PL), University from Ljubljana (SI) and University of Bedforshire (UK).The project consists of: upgrading the curricula in Macedonian as a Foreign Language studies at four different universities in MK, design of three course books for teaching Macedonian as a foreign language and development of testing procedures and accompanying documentation for C1 level test of Macedonian as a foreign language. These aims will be realized by updating the existing courses and introducing new ones, publishing new teaching materials, introducing contemporary methodologies in the teaching process, developing a test for the advanced C1 level and by purchasing the necessary equipment. As a final result the students will have much more optional courses to choose and a chance to create their own profile.The activities that will be carried out comprise of: modification of the existing and creation of new courses, implementation of the adopted methodologies, publishing books and manuals, purchasing and using the necessary equipment, organizing workshops for retraining the teachers in Macedonian as a Foreign language, and taking care about the dissemination of the expirience gained during this project. After the realization of this project, all four Universities are expected to be able to satisfy the increased demand for Macedonian as a foreign language and offer quality education in accordance with the Bologna process and the European system of higher education.
