Participants are youngsters from Estonia, Romania, France and Spain. All together 38 teenagers (aged 15-17) and 8 group leaders. Initiators of this youth exchange project are Estonian young, who wish to learn what kind of hobbies others have, what kind of skills they need to practice the hobby, and what new does the hobby teach. Initiators` idea is to find out if it is possible to gain significant skills for your own hobby by practicing friend`s hobby and how do hobbies affect young people`s careers. The main purpose of youth exchange program is to improve young adults core competencies, skills, and knowledge and to promote labour market participation, intercultural dialogue, social inclusion, and tolerance.Project`s subgoals are:- improve minors´ ability to analyse and endorse obtained knowledges which support sustainable self-development and self-awareness;- increase motivation to engage with hobbies and ability to acknowledge the connection between hobby and desirable future profession;- promotion of diversity and improvement of human rights through vindication of the plurality of hobbies and opportunities;- increase youth workers` awareness of youngsters` hobbies, reasons why they engage with hobbies, and possibilities and methods how to support them.In the focus of the project is the youth and their identity, which has significant and defining importance to him/her and to others in shaping and developing lives. Identity reveals mostly through hobbies, skills, experiences, and self-awareness. Therefore, introducing hobbies, obtaining and developing new skills and making real profession out of hobby/hobbies are the main activities in this project. Many practical workshops will take place throughout the program, where participants can obtain new skills and knowledge and through which youngsters will realize the connection between hobbies and obtaining new skills. In addition, there will be many discussions about different hobbies, prejudices, media influence and career planning. Also about introducing different countries` most popular hobbies` nature and differences.Project participants are with various interests and are engaged with hobbies in different scopes. Some of the participants practice their hobbies very actively, some practice slightly and some are still looking for an appropriate one. Teenagers with different experiences and hobbies give an opportunity to inspire others at same age who do not have hobbies and to motivate youngsters who already have their favourite hobby to engage even more.Photos with footnotes which skills one needs to have for this particular hobby, what could be the future profession connected to this hobby and where participants present their hobbies will be made as a result of this project. Photo exhibition will move after presentation in Viimsi to other participant countries to show the importance of hobbies in young people lives to youngsters, who did not participate in the project. Also an internet gallery will be composed from the photos, which makes it possible to distribute the project all over the world. As a result of the project, youngsters will engage with hobbies more conciously, more purposefully and with more dedication and therefore they are more self-confident, ready to enter the labour market and participate actively in the community. Moreover, youth workers will know better how to support youngsters and how to notice the need of support when analysing their experiences.
