M.I.T. Europe – Marketing, Internationalization and Tourism in Europe

PROJECT IDEA (Context and Background) “MIT Europe” intends to activate 200 training internships addressed to students attending, during 2016/2017, their last school year in each involved VET Institutes; internships, within the International Tourism Marketing field, will take place in Spain, Romania, Ireland and Lithuania. Project idea derives from a Training and Professional Needs Analysis, also investigating potentialities and weaknesses of Tourism Sector in Campania Region, together with opportunities offered by the interaction with the European context. According to data collected by Banca d’Italia, in 2015 a constant increase of foreign tourists has been registered, so that Campania has reached the second place in Italy among the most visited regions. In order face the new challenges deriving from competitors’ growth and maintain these standards unaltered, it is necessary create top level professional figures and offer quality services.M.I.T. EUROPE MISSION (Project Objectives):-To answer to KA1 general objectives, increasing the employability of 200 Vet Learners from five Vet Institutes facilitating their international mobility through Internship in European Companies and, more specifically, in Spain, Romania, Ireland and Lithuania. -To increase knowledge, competences and abilities of project addressees according to: company management and strategic planning applied to start-up launch and company internationalization, with specific reference to tourism field; marketing techniques, financial data analysis, human, financial and material resources allocation through the elaboration of business plans; -To contribute to the formal recognition of competences acquired through the adoption of ECVET System and its integration with other recognition standards at regional(Regione Campania Qualifications Catalogue), national and European level, spreading the employment of those instruments to external Institutions, Bodies, Companies and Stakeholders of reference;-To contribute to the development and/or improvement of Tourism field through a specialized workforce integrated within the regional system, fundamental to stabilize positive data and making them grow. ADDRESSEES AND ACTIONS Action addressees will be 200 students attending, during 2016/2017, their last school year in N.C. Institutes who will begin their 28 days mobility experience after the attainment of their Degree. The internship will be preceded by a pre-departure training in Italy allowing the achievement of different training objectives, such as:-language improvement (English Language improvement and Learning of a seconf language according to internship Countries)- improvement of professional competences in Tourism and International Marketing field, coherently with the Professional Figure identified, that is “Specialist in planning, definition and promotion of tourism plans development and territorial promotion”. - soft skill improvement and CV improvement.Internship actions will be supported by dissemination activities and enhanced through a placement phase with Companies not directly involved in the Partnership but near to Institutes composing the national Consortium and its Coordinator. METHODOLOGYThe national and international network has a long experience both in management and implementation of transnational mobility projects. The National Consortium will benefit from its public/private nature, favouring the “meeting” of education/training context and national/international labor market, as well as from a European Partnership built on the basis of a trustworthy network developed by Cosvitec and Consortium members. Activities implementation will be encouraged by the shared knowledge, within the Partnership, of English and Italian languages. Placement activities will involve Companies belonging to national and European contexts (international cooperation networks, Poli Formativi-Training Complexes-,School Committees, etc.), that will register in Cosvitec Job Search Portal http://lavoro.cosvitec.com/.RESULTS – improvement of the training offer and increase of the attractiveness of training courses offered by participating Vet Institutes and Bodies – Internship outputs and best practices replicability within the local, regional and transnational contexts, useful to Companies involved in the specific field of reference and dealing with competences certification and validation (ECVET), too. – Advantage deriving from qualified workforce, integrated within the regional system. LONG TERM IMPACT Erasmus PLUS experience will be shared with Stakeholders and Companies, spreading a greater awareness (by employers, too) about the experience lived by participants to European mobility actions.
