We’ve proposed to become better, and through this project we certainly managed to achieve this objective. The contagious enthusiasm helped us to form a team that sacrificed a lot of time, but showed the advantages of running such projects. This way we turned “Petru Comarnescu” Lower Secondary School into a special place, a kind of world laboratory in the world, where, we haven’t only identified and planned a strategy for the future but we have also succeeded into perfecting everything it means didactic act, adding plus value to all our students and teachers’ work in this school. The main aim and specific objectives have been successfully fulfilled, the quality of teaching-learning-assessing increased, as well as teachers’ interest into using modern methods. Awareness and acceptance of the idea of change was felt at all levels (students, teachers, parents), and students’ attitude towards school and learning has improved. Foreign languages and English in particular, have gained a lot of notoriety among students and teachers too. All of them have understood the important role they have in their personal and professional development and evolution, that’s where it comes from the active participation and full involvement of students, during the English classes and of teachers, throughout learning English trainings. Innovative methods that stirred students’creativity led to music, drawing, literature, TIC classes that would always stay in the kids’ minds and souls. Through the exhibition, art and science, combined themselves and blended forms of circle, square, triangle and rectangle, by means of rules listening to centrality, axially, parallelism, through alternating structures of surfaces, by alternating emptiness-fullness with closed-open shapes, discovering science beyond pure form of ancient Egyptian pyramid. ICT methods were successfully implemented and applied to lessons, Moodle Platform being an excellent way of preparing the National Assessment for 8th graders, while the blog has been the perfect means to disseminate our project activities. Creating a blog supposed improving teachers’ digital skills at an unexpected level. Applying Mathfactor and Matheatre methods, allowed the rise of discovery and motivation degree to Math talented students, this way, supporting performance. Intercultural dialogue and knowledge triangle were valorized through the wonderful intercultural show "Century Heights" that has stirred many emotions and positive thoughts, beneficial to our local community. All these objectives have been achieved thanks to 13 teachers who have been selected to attend the trainings and activities of this project. Dedication, imagination and their thirst for knowledge made possible the accomplishment of the project activities at a very high quality. They participated to 8 trainings, 6 as originally proposed in the application and two being changed, but having the same aims which helped us to achieve our goals entirely. Thus we succeeded into realizing the following 7 final products: a blog of the project, developing activities on Romanian Moodle platform, a symposium called “Latest news in didactics” that initially was supposed to be national and it turned into international, an Exhibition “Plastic structures and shapes” which developed during the partnership with The Art College from Suceava, introducing us into a better and more beautiful world, full of sound and color, an Intercultural Show ”Century Heights” that helped us to appreciate, respect and love all ethnicities’ traditions in Gura Humorului, feeling proud to be citizens of this land, the eTwinning project BOOM which supported us into promoting our town by establishing partnerships with schools from Italy, Spain, Turkey, Romania and experimenting together methods discovered throughout the courses we took while New People, New Life project, publishing the book entitled ”Methodology between science and art” that turned into a valuable collection of scientific works, very useful to those who work in educational system.The impact of these results was so powerful that the number of national partnerships increased with 80, of those international with 3, the number of participants to the symposium was 160 at national and international level, the users’ number of the blog and Moodle platform increased to 904, the number of students raised significantly, then according to 25 teachers’ annual reports, it was noticed the increased frequency use of ICT means and innovative methods in the classes with 92%, the number of classes/week allotted to students additional training increased too with 27, as well as the number of students prizes, 541. School prestige and image have greatly won which is why we intend to achieve other European projects that would bring to our school as many accomplishments and results as this one did. It was a WOW project indeed, that's the reason why, the window stays open towards the world in order to keep on discovering it.
