Lords of the boards is a youth exchange programme between Liechtenstein and Portugal. The main shared activity will be to discover the sea with its natural, social and economical dimension and how it combines all of those systems. The group will discover a lifestyle full of flow, power and precision while trying to catch a wave as well as the people that tell us more about the sea and how it is important for all of us. This youth exchange is designed to be a 10 days peer-to-peer learning experience. As we learn about key issues of our society regarding the sea and all that it connects, we are gaining momentum during shared activities like surfing and other sports activities enabled by the sea and its forces. The project is the initiative of young people between 13 and 16 years. It has been developed through the JUBEL Initiative (Youth participation in Liechtenstein) with the organisation EJL (European youth leader Liechtenstein) in partnership with the MUNICIPÍO DE VILA NOVA DE FAMALICAO. The youngsters play the key role in all stages of the project planning and organising.
