The project aims to connect the protected areas of Kozjanski Park, Kolpa Regional Park and National Park Risnjak in terms of technical support, management, and implementation in their endeavour to preserve high-trunk meadow orchards as habitats of Natura 2000 project species, which are an indespensable element of quality cultural landscape and a rediscovered and revalued developmental opportunity Expected Results: The development of a long-term strategy for the managment of high-trunk orchards. Hugh-trunk orchards as one of the most important habitat types and as a focus of environmental protection for the park managers. With this project Kozjanski Park will become a regional center for cultivating and distributing fruit sorts.
