The project "Logistic - new capabilities opportunities for regional labour market" involved a group of 61 students attending logistics classes in the Vocational Schools Complex in Lubień, Lubraniec and Ostrołęka.
The students were offered a four-week vocational training placement in Greece. The programme as well as its duration have been designed in a way that complies with the Polish core curriculum including the educational goals and requirements for the logistics technican professional profile, the preferences and characteristics of the group as well as the expectations of the employers from the local labour market.
The participants were completing their training placement in a logistic companies in Greece. The traineeship was preceded by the preparatory course which covers basic issues such as: learning sector-specific English, learning about the culture of Greece and social, politic and economy areas, psychological preparation in the area of stress management techniques and ways of adaptation in a new environment, basics of the Greek language of communication and increasing knowledge in the field of logistics.
The project was adapted to the present challenges that occur in both economy and open labour market, The idea is, that logistics technician should be a specialist, which has got an experience and competence to have strong position on labour market. It becomes more and more important, to have the knowledge of functioning of the logistic companies in Europe to successfully work with them. This project aimed not only to gain an individual experiences, but also to implement this experiences in the process of supporting Polish companies. During this traineeship participants not only broadened their knowledge and practical skills, but they also learned how to implement to the local labour market some specific solutions which are not used by Polish companies.
