LLML - Lifelong Museum Learning
Start date: Oct 1, 2004,

Actively considering the role that museums could play in terms of developing communities and society as a whole, the LLML project aimed at exploiting the potential of museums as non-formal learning environments and supported the development of skills and competences for museum staff. Activities involved the design and delivery of adult training specifically targeting education staff in museums and/or those wanting to develop museum-based education programmes. Key outputs included an In-Service Training (IST) course, a European Handbook supporting visitor participation in museum exhibitions and the publication of Kolb's Learning Theory in Museums, the latter aimed at transforming the musuem visit into an an interactive learning experience.
