Project Background The Intermunicipal Committee Exchanges consists of four rural towns in Orne in France (Bellou-en-Houlme, -Verrerie Saires-La, La Coulonche, La Ferriere-aux-Etangs Orne) with links to European friendship since 1989 with Wehretal citizens of Germany and citizens of Gant in Hungary since 2007. The Committee, aware of the European youth mobility, offers a European voluntary service within the Erasmus + program. The Association MJC Flers will coordinate the project. This project is based on values , such as tolerance and mutual respect for a peaceful Europe, the construction of European citizenship by volunteering participation of all generations, as well as friendship among peoples. Project Objectives A young German will experience the project "Life Europe in your daily life" from September 2016 to August 2017, in partnership with municipal structures for educational, cultural and socio-cultural activities, located in the territory of the twinned towns in order to: - allow her to live a socio-cultural and linguistic experience and enhance her professional curriculum, - experience the everyday Europe in rural towns - develop a sense of European citizenship among the youth and encourage mobility, language learning by young people Activities The ICE has planned cultural and socio-cultural activities in a European dimension to meet the expectations of the volunteer: As part of the twinning with Germany, the volunteer enlarges its European citizen think tank: - participating in various European exchange stays (Wehretal citizens stay in Normandy, sport and school exchanges in Germany, language course in France, project development of the 25th twinning anniversary meeting, planned in July 2017, in Germany together with the Hungarian citizens ), - informing young people about EVS at forums and in schools with the coordination structure (MJC Flers). Leaders, professionals in cultural organizations,(leisure and education), which will host the volunteer will complete the discovery of French culture by involving her in their activities. Methodology To inform, raise awareness and involve as many players in this project, the ICE will arrange meetings between the members of the association and local councilors, with the leaders of partner organizations (voluntary activity places) , with the responsible people of the coordinating structure (MJC Flers), interviews through Internet with the sending organization, as well as press releases. To sustain volunteering the ICE intends to promote the results of this experience through exhibitions, a book, videos, Erasmus + website dissemination platform when an opportunity arises in order to reach different audiences, and of course specially at the period of exchanges with its European partners, as well as by the Europe Day. Results, impact This experience will contribute to the mutual enrichment, to the European inter-cultural dimension , to local dynamism by the citizens. The volunteer will acquire a better knowledge of French and European culture, a practice of the French language and new skills. Young people and adults will benefit from cultural awareness, understand the value of languages and experiences in another country. New residents will participate in European exchanges( school, sports, citizens).The projects implemented by the volunteer will let arise new desires and projects.
