This long term EVS project will involve one volunteer from The Netherlands. He will stay for 12 months in Georgia, hosted by the Student Youth Council of Ozurgeti. During his voluntary period in Georgia he will support the hosting organization in all its activities and projects. In particular, he will provide workshops and activities for the youth in the Day Care Center and for the participants of the Euroclub. In this way he will achieve his learning goals with the methods of non-formal learning. Apart from supporting the development and the learning process of the individual volunteer, thanks to this project we would like to counterbalance the social isolation of youth in rural areas, as well as to promote youth active citizenship among the wider Georgian youth. The hosting organization has as specific goal that of supporting the process of European integration of Georgia, by spreading and promote European values and active citizenship in the local community of Ozurgeti and in Georgia at large.
