Lika Eco Art Youth is a project dedicated to EVS volunteers of very great importance for the region such as municipality Lovinac, which has a small number of mainly older population, but advantage in this area is great natural fortune, clean water and untouched land. Municipality and association UKE have a common interest and are excellent partners as we develop an intimate tourism that is carried out throughout the year, residential programmes, mobility and development of voluntarism, preservation of indigenous customs, plants and animals in connection with the new technologies and alternative energies, art and so on. EYFA is also selected as a partner because of similar or the same interest and excellent past cooperation. The objectives of the project are:- sustainable and social projects have to be implemented in this region and EVS is one of these projects,- reduce hate speech that remains in some people as a result of the war,- to overcome cultural diversity,- encourage civil initiatives,- encourage informal learning through a variety of workshops,- social inclusion,- transdisciplinary thinking and acting,- promote voluntarism and mobility,- the creation of leisure activities for young people,- reduce migration of young people with different activities aimed at them,- promote good practice,- promote transparency of actions in all areas of the project,- volunteers will learn to work independently or in a group.Participants of the project are project developer Association UKE , municipality Lovinac , EYFA organization from Netherlands/Germany, travel agency SUMMER -WINTER, hostel Lovinac, Lovinac Elementary School.Activities are:1.) Artist-in-Residence Laboratory (AiR Lab)UKE offers residencies and support in Lovinac for artists and scientists throughout the whole year. AiR Lab collaborates with several European organizations in artists exchange, transdisciplinary art practices and environmental art. At the residency artist, scientists and hackers work collaboratively in the rural environment of Lovinac municipality. 2.) Youth Club LovinacYouth Club Lovinac is a project that focuses on informal education, planing of free-time activities, cultural programmes and promotion of voluntariness and creativity in order to develop social inclusion of youth and their social responsibility. 3.) MMKMMK is an international cultural event taking place at the eco-camp in Lovinac each year during July and August. MMK invites artist, activists, hackers, environmentalists, common-ists and survivalists to gather around the theme “Future Environments”. MMK combines research, experiment and workshops with creative thinking and environmental consciousness using transdisciplinary strategies and collaborative efforts.4.) Permacultural gardenUKE promotes a healthy life style and self-sufficiency throughout its activities. Part of UKE's activities is therefore dedicated to the production of own food supply and learning about environmental issues. 5.) Support to local communityThe interaction between the local community and the volunteers, young and old contributes to diversity and cultural broad-mindedness in both cases. With this project , in the first year we expect the active involvement of at least 10 young people in volunteer activities in Municipality Lovinac , promotion and networking with similar organizations.
