The direct participants of the project will be six members of TAKiTEATR theatre group and four students of Art-Therapy and Animation of Culture Department at the University of Opole. This team will prepare activities for a much larger group of participants: mainly middle and secondary school, students (approximately 240 persons). The topic of our project is Addiction to Internet among young people. Psychologists work with alcohol and drug addictions, less often with Internet addiction. We would like draw attention to this phenomenon. It seems to us that this is an important issue and it is worth talking about and encouraging a discussion among youngsters. Our goal is to focus on the problem, learn more about it and discover advantages and disadvantages of using the Internet. We would also like to learn more about the principles of prevention of addiction by taking concrete actions. The project will have features of a social campaign: the planned activities will include working with a psychologist on Internet Addiction, workshops with a coach - teaching participants the techniques of leading workshops for youngsters , learning to run ″prevention theatre plays’. Moreover, there will be four meetings for young people from schools in Opole, combined with the play presentation and workshops run by participants of the project. Also, posters introducing the topic of Addiction to Internet will be created for schools and a photo exhibition presenting the project will be organized. We will use various methods to deal with the topic: workshops, learning from educators, drama, panel discussions, graphics and photography, art-therapy. Effects of project will be visible through our greater competence and skills within the field of preventive theatre directing, workshops leading, use of art –therapy, games and fun activities, integration, leading discussions in a large group, and the development of informative materials.
