In the project "Liepaja Maritime College students internship in Portugal" are involved two organizations: Liepaja Maritime College (LMC), which is the first level higher and the third level vocational education institution and the Portuguese Association of intercultural mobility Euromob, which is dealing as an intermediary, that organizes accommodation, transport, internship, different types of training courses, cultural visits and any other specific needs and requests of the partner institution. In internship to Portugal will go 9 Liepaja Maritime College students, which will be selected by a special commission. This project will strengthen and enrich the Liepaja Maritime College participants of the theoretical knowledge and skills in the chosen profession, which are necessary for professional growth. Students will get to know a new culture, gain a broader vision and a more comprehensive perspective on life, as well as improve their language and communication skills, strengthen their self-sufficiency. Liepaja Maritime College's role is to select students for internship in Portugal, where they will be greeted by the host organization and will take to internships places and provide with the necessary information. Before going to internship the host organization will report to the sending organization about the dates when students have to arrived and then LMC will advise students and provide them with the necessary documents. On internship places there will be responsible person, which will be supervise them and make the training according to the internship program, as well as the host organization will be regularly checked how it’s going with learning programs and will inform the sending organization. The host organization will also offer a small cultural program, where students will be able to choose activities in which they can explore the surrounding area on their holidays, but it is not obligatory program, they can decide by themselves if they want to participate. Organizations implementing the project formed a long-term co-operation, which can ensure the cooperation in other projects. These are not only new knowledge and self-development opportunities, but also national and LMC presentation obroad, the chance to increase publicity at reginal, national and European level what will have both organisation during the Project. Publicity and the experience gained in the project will not only provide greater visibility of the organization and other organizations interest to make cooperation, but also other young people's interest for this type of project. Project results will be disseminated in both countries Latvia and Portugal. Students will write stories about their experience during the internship. This stories will be posted not only in the organisations web pages, but also in social networks, as well aso n LMC information desk. If it is possible, then also on the National Education Development Agency website and with the Latvian radio help.
