We propose a musical partnership between three schools in Austria, Sweden and the UK. Our theme will be 'Songs which move the world'. Through the medium of shared choral music and performance in a three-way choir we want: to build on the common musical culture of our students as a bridge/pathway to better intercultural understanding to increase each student's bank of lasting cultural references to create a shared international/EU experience for our students by rehearsing and performing together to expand our students' musical horizons by learning songs special/ particular to the three countries to celebrate cultural and linguistic diversity within Europe to promote language learning by learning these songs in their original language to explore the cultural and historical background to these songs to share and promote best practice in music teaching and choral work between the three schools
